We just bought a 2009 Toyota Camry today with 133,000 miles for our daughter. We were told the car had been serviced and they had changed the oil since the dealer had the car for just about 2 weeks. We drove it home tonight, which was less than 100 miles from the dealer. When we were at the test drive, there were no oil leaks and there was no visible blue smoke from the exhaust and the oil level was good when checked. My husband checked the oil after we got home, and it wouldn't even show on the dipstick! He tried multiple times, even waiting until later when the engine had cooled off, and it still shows no measurement of oil at all! Of course we purchased the car after the October 2016 expiration of the first LSC, but seeing the second portion of the LSC where it states that it is applicable for 10 years from DOFU or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, this makes me think this car should be eligible for free repairs since it's less than 10 years old and has less than 150,000 miles. I am really upset right now. We have owned 6 Toyotas before this one and have never had any problems before which is why that was what we wanted to buy for our daughter. Very disappointed and shocked to be having this problem now.
