I have Camry 2007 from US. And now I am in Canada. I never received any notification, may be because I am in Canada. I went for this test with local dealer at Brimell Toyota. The test was passed as it completely burnt 2 litre of oil in 1000 miles. Even dealer said id is burning oil way too much. This whole process took 2-3 months. This car was bought in November 2006. Now dealer is saying that car has passed the 10 years warranty period with 2 months, so we can not take it for repair. They suggested me to talk to Toyota Canada or US and if Toyota sends them email they will be more than happy to repair it.
I believe it is just 2 months over and as I was not aware of any campaigns going on, my request must be considered. May be this was because car is in Canada now and was first bought in US. This could damage even engine of the car as I am not even getting any message of low engine oil. And the oil consumption is increasing day by day.
Requesting you to please consider my request and send an email to the dealer. Please let me know in case any other details are required from my side.
