I do not really have receipts for the oil changes, they suggested that I got around to all the places I have had the oil changes done and see if they kept records....kind of hard without a car...lol.
Yes, they are saying that if I have the inspection done then it will cost more than the $110 diagnostic fee they quoted at first. They did not say exactly, but he suggested something like $250 to $300.
I think the thing that really aggravated me was that there was no mention of these two issues while trying to get me to bring the car THERE for the repair instead of the shop I was going to get it done at. I gave them a week to gather the information about how all of this would be done BEFORE I spent $140 getting it towed there, and they didn't mention these two sticking points. I also don''t know why they can't do the evaluation of the engine anyway. Now it is going to cost me that again to have it towed to the shop I want to do the replacement of the engine.
